Our summer reading program, Pirate Treasure Hunt, ended with a final “sail” for participants. Our young readers created pirate spyglasses, Rice Krispy treasure chests, built boats that float, and made pirates’ hats. They used riddles to locate books, audio books and puzzles to find clue words to a big final treasure as well as ice cream treasures along the way. (Thank you Lakeshore Restaurant for the ice cream coupons!) And they read a lot of books!
